🐲 Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked is out now! 🐲

A fantasy tabletop adventure videogame set in the D&D universe that's based on the award-winning Demeo.

I had the privilege of being chosen to voice a Tharok Kuldelver, one of the main playable heroes, as well as a number of villains and NPCs that feature throughout the game.

Resolution Games, who I worked with previously on Gears & Goo, booked me for a remotely directed 2-hour voiceover session, and we recorded barks, grunts and narrative for 12 characters. It's a lot to get through in 2 hours, especially with multiple takes needed for variety, but thanks to the team at Resolution giving me the scripts early, I had time to research each character.

Reading up on D&D lore and creature files gave me all the inspiration I needed to create a distinct and captivating voice for each character. From Tharok's righteous fury to the sly, deceitful nature of the Slaad. This preparation meant that when it was time to record, I was ready with a solid base of voices. Even when they threw a couple of new scripts my way, I could use what I'd learnt to create a voice there and then.

Never have I shouted, cheered and grunted so much in my life!

It was amazing!

Now, while playing the game you can hear my characters in nearly every dungeon.

As a proud gamer and fan of the fantasy genre, I don't think I'll ever get over how awesome that is!

Resolution Games chose to give each Hero and every NPC a distinct voice, so I'm joined by cast of fantastic voice actors, who've poured their passion and love for this craft into every character. And the fans have noticed Resolution's commitment to authentic, human voice performances, commenting on how immersive and real the game feels because of the voice acting.

So thanks Resolution, You Rock!

It was an amazing experience for a fantastic game.
